Student employee appreciation week

The National Student Employment Association designates one week each year for universities and colleges across the country to recognize the substantial contributions of students who work on campus. Student Employee Appreciation Week will be taking place this year from April 10-14. To help in recognizing your students, Career Services has teamed up with the Center for Student Engagement to organize two different events to help celebrate our student employees. Learn more.


Erica HartEricka Hart: Guest Speaker

Join the Nanook Diversity and Action Center in celebrating black history month with guest speaker, activist, advocate, and sex educator Ericka Hart provide a presentation on "White Supremacy and the Anti Black Origins of Sexual Violence in the US." This rescheduled event will be taking place via Zoom on April 12 from 1-3 p.m. Please register for the event here. High Impact Practices: Undergraduate Research

Join UAF colleagues on Tuesday, April 11 from noon to 1:30 p.m. for a conversation about AAC&U's High-Impact Practices, focusing on "Undergraduate Research." We'll begin the conversation with short presentations from Jen Peterson (Psychology), Mario Muscarella (Biology), and Robin Shoaps (Anthropology) on how they engage undergraduate students with research. White paper submissions sought for NSF Building the Proto-OKN Program

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research is soliciting white papers for the National Science Foundation's Building the Prototype Open Knowledge Network (Proto-OKN) Program. More information about the program and submission processSubmissions are due by April 14, 2023.
