Student employee appreciation week

The National Student Employment Association designates one week each year for universities and colleges across the country to recognize the substantial contributions of students who work on campus.

Student Employee Appreciation Week will be taking place this year from April 10-14. The dedication and knowledge that our student employees bring to UAF helps our university grow and thrive. Our student employees perform invaluable services with enthusiasm, dedication, and initiative. I know many of us have one or multiple student workers who we very much appreciate and who deserve to be recognized and celebrated!

We invite you to start planning how you can celebrate and recognize the talented student employees in your unit and/or division during this week. To help in recognizing your students, Career Services has teamed up with the Center for Student Engagement to organize two different events to help celebrate our student employees during the week of April 10-14. One of these events is specifically for student employees and the other is for their supervisors!

A Good Great Job: Student Employee Supervisor Session

Ice Cream Thursday-National Student Employee Appreciation Week Edition

Wood Center Mall Area
Student employees and their supervisors are invited to stop by the table in the Wood Center Mall Area to treat themselves to ice cream!

In addition to the events listed above, we have created a toolkit of ideas on how to show your appreciation for these individuals. These are just suggestions in case you need a little inspiration on ways to say thank you.
