Deadline for academic leadership institute

The application deadline for the 2023-24 Academic Leadership Institute is 5 p.m. on Aug. 25. Please fill in this application form to be considered for participation. To hold this institute at least 10 faculty members need to participate.

Deep-sea springs fuel octopus breeding

Deep-sea hydrothermal springs are dramatically enhancing the reproductive success of octopuses at a site off the central California coast, contributing to the largest known aggregation of the marine creatures in the world.

UAF Emergency Scholarship

The UAF Emergency Scholarship is a one-time resource available through the Financial Aid Office that helps address the immediate and unexpected needs of students. After submitting an application and following review by a committee with more than 10 departments currently represented from across campus, students are able to seek assistance throughout the school year.

Instructors, please reach out to your students before completing engagement reports. We encourage you to provide context within the comment section of the engagement report to assist advisors and student success staff in their outreach support.

Nanook Technology Services' website debut

Nanook Technology Services is the new name for UAF IT and the user services team formerly embedded in OIT. Under the direction of Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services Julie Queen and Chief Information Technology Officer Ben Shier, Nanook Technology Services has been created as UAF’s IT unit. What was the OIT user services website is now an updated Nanook Technology website.
