for the public, thanks to collaboration between the University of Alaska Fairbanks

The Chief Diversity Faculty Fellow is intended to be a multifaceted role requiring
a combination of leadership, advocacy, communication, and collaboration skills to
effect positive change in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion across our university.
Deans and directors are asked to complete a Google form with the nomination of one to two faculty members between now and Sept. 29. Nominations
will be reviewed and a final selection made in October. Read more details on the position.
Responsible Conduct of Research is a required training for undergraduate students,
graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers supported by NSF awards and UAF's
training is open to all UAF-, UAS- and Ilisagvik-affiliated individuals. Email Carla McCain in the Office of Research Integrity to sign up for the Saturday, Sept. 30 session
from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or the Tuesday, Oct. 3 session from 1-4:30 p.m. Read more about RCR training.

The state Science Olympiad competition will be held at the University of Alaska Fairbanks
for a second year on Feb. 23-24, 2024. Middle school teams from across Alaska are
