The first use of a method of analyzing Mars’ gravitational force supports the idea that the planet once had an extensive northern ocean. Hibernation science workshop draws global participants

The Center for Transformative Research in Metabolism recently hosted its first large-scale workshop in hibernation science. Read more about the two-week event that included discussions of research in hibernating mammals.


Chris Cannon, Sean Asikłuk Topkok, Michael Koskey and Yoko Kugo, all doctorate-holding faculty members at the UAF Center for Cross-Cultural Studies, accept a 10-year accreditation from the World Indigenous Nations Higher Education Consortium during its annual general membership meeting in Fairbanks in July.

CXCS receives 10-year accreditation

The Center for Cross-Cultural Studies has received 10-year accreditation from the World Indigenous Nations Higher Education Consortium. Read more on CXCS  being the first organization in Alaska to earn WINHEC accreditation.
