Staff Council nominations extended until Sept. 29
Staff Council will be holding elections in October for even-numbered units and at-large seats (a total of 14 seats). Representatives will be elected to two-year terms starting in January 2024.
Visit the Staff Council Unit Finder tool to verify which unit you belong to (UA network or VPN required). Those in even-numbered units are welcome to nominate themselves or a colleague to serve a two-year term representing that unit. You may also nominate a staff member from any unit to an at-large position.
Nominations via Google Form have been extended through Sept. 29.

Staff Council representatives serve as an important link between their unit and UAF’s administration. By voicing staff concerns and needs to UAF and UA leadership, Staff Council plays a vital role in the shared governance of our university. Representatives are essential to ensuring that staff at all levels are included in the many complex decisions made at UAF every day. There's never been a more important time to consider joining Staff Council. Representatives can expect to spend 3-5 hours per month on Staff Council business.
