LARS Science Series: On Feet

Cheryl Rosa, attending veterinarian at the Large Animal Research Station and director of the Animal Resources Center, will be kicking off the LARS Science Series with a lecture in the Murie auditorium on Nov. 13 from 4-5 p.m. all about animal feet, focusing on ungulates like the ones at LARS. National Sea Grant funds training for new Alaska fishermen

Alaska Sea Grant and partners were recently awarded over $240,000 from NOAA Sea Grant for a project to train and support new commercial fishermen in Alaska. The two-year project will draw upon program strengths from each project partner to assist with crew training, apprenticeships, and network-building to help new crewmembers be successful on the water. Northern Lights String Orchestra offers recital

Advisors travel from rural campuses for training summit

An advising and student services training summit brought together advisors from all of UAF's five rural campuses in September. The three-and-a-half-day training experience at the Troth Yeddha' Campus gathered approximately thirty College of Rural and Community Development student support staff and advisors to learn, network, and grow together.
