UAF Day at the fair scheduled for July 30

The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host UAF Day at the Tanana Valley State Fair on Tuesday, July 30. UAF employees, students, alumni and friends will receive $1 off admission by wearing UAF apparel or showing their PolarExpress card. The day will include UAF activities throughout the fairgrounds. Lectures, field days offer plethora of mushroom information

Mushroom enthusiasts will have several opportunities to learn more about Alaska’s fungi — and get their hands dirty — via lectures and field trips in August. Mycologist Gary Laursen will lead a three-day workshop in Delta Junction on Aug. 16-18 and another in Palmer on Aug. 30-Sept. 1. Learn more and register for the various opportunities.

University, state of Alaska to host 2nd annual International Drone Conference

Alaska's pivotal role in drone and autonomous systems research will be highlighted at the upcoming Global Autonomous Systems Conference scheduled for Aug. 13-15 at the Dena'ina Center in Anchorage. Read more and register for the conference.
