UAF launches energy resource engineering degree program

The University of Alaska Fairbanks College of Engineering and Mines has launched its new energy resource engineering baccalaureate program. Students can enroll in this forward-thinking field of study starting in fall 2024. Read more about the new degree program.

Minnie Naylor has taken on the role of interim director of the UAF Northwest Campus, while continuing her leadership as director of the UAF Chukchi Campus. The galloping glacier's recent dramas

In 1937, what scientists call a "surging" glacier was rumbling across the valley toward a roadhouse along a major Alaska highway. That mountain of ice advanced upon the log structure at more than 100 feet each day. Read more about the Black Rapids Glacier.
