A visiting Zen master, Barbara (Bobby) Rhodes, will present a public talk at the Well
(334 Duckering Building, UAF) on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. The talk will be about
the importance of meditation practice in promoting the well-being of ourselves and

Youths and volunteers across Alaska are enrolling in 4-H as the program year begins
this October. They're also celebrating the inaugural Alaska State 4-H Day on Wednesday,
Oct. 2, and National 4-H Week, Oct. 7-12. Learn more about the celebration.
The Utilities Operation department gives tours of the Central Heat and Powerplant
on the first Friday of each month. Oct. 4 is the first Friday for October so reserve
