Alaska Sea Grant is pleased to announce the addition of James Crimp as the program's shellfish mariculture specialist, based in Juneau, Alaska. Crimp will help foster the sustainable growth of shellfish farming across the state by supporting industry-driven research and providing education to local farmers. Summer Sessions and the Fairbanks Wellness Coalition are co-hosting a free Youth Mental Health First Aid course on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Learn how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents ages 12-18.
