The University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service is offering a series of workshops for people interested in local food systems. New first aid kits on campus

Upgrading old first aid kits can be a small but significant step toward ensuring the safety and well-being of yourself, your family, and your workplace. In August, the Preventive Maintenance team at Facilities Services replaced 288 first aid kits around campus. Read more about the first aid kit upgrades.

UAF Giving Day is March 26-28, 2024

Save the date! UAF Giving Day is a campus-wide effort and a great opportunity for you to get involved and raise philanthropic support for your program. Last year more than 795 donors gave to UAF during the 49-hour event and we are excited to partner with you again this year to show our Nanook pride!


Cornerstone event submissions

Arctic sea ice in New York Fashion Week

Arctic sea ice made its debut as wearable art during New York Fashion Week. The Sea Ice Collection promotes sustainable "slow fashion" in an unexpected collaboration between scientists at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, artists and fashion designers. The garments are patterned after cross sections of sea ice collected by scientist Marc Oggier during a research expedition in 2019. Learn more about the Sea Ice Collection.
