Climate scholar participates at Arctic Circle Assembly

Undergraduate biology major Michelle Ramirez attended the Arctic Circle Assembly in October 2023. The conference was the latest in a string of high-profile climate events and conferences that the climate scholar has participated in to hone her vision of how best to engage in climate-related activities. Read more about Ramirez's participation.

KSUA nets six Goldies at Alaska Broadcasters Association event

A total of six "Goldie" awards were presented to Student Media's KSUA 91.5FM College Radio, the student-powered radio station of UAF's Center for Student Engagement. Various UAF students and faculty received recognition for their hard work in the Student Radio division. Learn more on the various awards won by KSUA.


Winter break snow removal schedule

Facilities Services will be working throughout the winter break to remove snow from parking lots on the Troth Yeddha' Campus and the Community and Technical College campus. Most work will be done at night. Lot-specific dates and times are on the Facilities Services snow removal schedules.

The Large Animal Research Station will host the second LARS Science Series presentation Dec. 12 at 4 p.m. Olivia Hee will be speaking during this Zoom-only session. You must register in advance for this meeting! This presentation will focus on her collaboration with the Large Animal Research Station at UAF to evaluate two methods for pregnancy determination that can be done using samples from harvested muskoxen. Photo exhibit Digi X opens in Arctic Java

The Digi X exhibit showcases work by students in Digital Darkroom, a class to develop advanced photo editing and digital darkroom skills and teach students how to create quality prints using Photoshop, Lightroom and other image techniques. The exhibit will be on display until Jan. 12, 2024. Read more on the exhibit.
