Photo exhibit Digi X opens in Arctic Java
An opening reception for work from an advanced photography class will take place from 5–6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1 in Arctic Java, the coffee shop in the Wood Center on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus.
The Digi X exhibit showcases work by students in Digital Darkroom, a class to develop advanced photo editing and digital darkroom skills and teach students how to create quality prints using Photoshop, Lightroom and other image techniques. UAF professor Charles Mason developed the class and has been offering it to undergrad and graduate students for more than 20 years.
This year’s class participants include Loraine Alvidrez, JR Ancheta, Roscoe Archer, Alyssa Enriquez, LJ Evans, Vanya Gillette, Frank Maxwell, Philipp Moosmayer, Andy Padilla, Nancy Rabener, David Sanches and Chris Tolver. The exhibit will be on display until Friday, Jan. 12, 2024.
