Shuttle Charters

A bus and driver may be reserved for seminars, conferences, field trips, and special events for a minimum of 2 hours.
Please complete the Charter Request Form.

Transportation Alternatives

Please use the links below to aid in travel to and from campus or around Fairbanks:

UAF Community and Technical College (UAF CTC)

Transportation to UAF CTC (604 Barnette) during the day can be accomplished by riding the MACS (Fairbanks North Star Borough) Bus. The most direct route is to take the BLUE_LINE (PDF) from the Wood Center bus stop to 7th Avenue at the State Bldg.

To return to campus from UAF CTC, ride the MACS-BLUE LINE (PDF) from the 7th Avenue bus stop, the last pickup at that location will be 9:09 pm.

Alternatively, UAF does offer limited Off-Campus shuttle service to CTC at certain times of the day. Please see the 2019 Fall Shuttle Schedule for times.

Off Campus Shuttle

The Shuttle department is currently trialing an off-campus, scheduled shuttle van with service to Ester, CTC Aviation Hanger, the Pipeline Training Center, CTC Downtown, and U-Park/Hutchison. Please see the 2019 Fall Shuttle Schedule for days and times that this service is available.

Fall/Spring Expanded Shuttle Service

The shopping shuttle is back twice a week. On Tuesdays, the shuttle for Fred Meyer West leaves the north Wood Center bus hut at 7 p.m. and leaves Fred Meyer at 8:15 p.m. On Thursdays, the Walmart shuttle leaves the north Wood Center bus hut at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and leaves Walmart at 8:15 p.m. Both shuttles return to the north Wood Center stop.

New this year is the First Friday shuttle, which leaves the north Wood Center bus stop at 6:15 p.m. for downtown Fairbanks on the first Friday of each month. The shuttle will park at the Yukon Quest International building, on the corner of Cushman and First Avenue, which gives you access to many First Friday locations. The shuttle heads back to campus at 8:30 p.m.

ADA Equipped Shuttles

UAF Shuttles are equipped to transport students, faculty, and staff with permanent or temporary disabilities between University facilities.

Shuttle Advertising

There is free advertising on the UAF shuttles for UA programs and clubs. Ads are posted on a first-come, first-serve basis, and are reset at the beginning of each semester. Please call 474-2496 with any questions.
