Venture Capitalist Brad Feld Virtually Visited Center ICE
September 2, 2020
Wow! Yesterday, Sept. 1, renowned entrepreneur and venture capitalist Brad Feld virtually visited Center ICE for a community event. Apropos to the times, Feld spoke about how
entrepreneurial endeavors build resilience,"Every startup company has at least one
'near-death' experience.... That becomes part of who you are. Resilience is an important
part of mental health for people.... You learn you can't cling to things. You've got
to keep going, especially in a moment like this where nothing is normal."
Feld drew from his industry-leading experience to call on the stakeholders – including
universities, industry, government, startup companies, and investors – to work more
closely together in the future. Feld, who is married to former Fairbanksan Amy Batchelor,
gave an overview of his new book on the topic, The Startup Community Way.
