ASCEND Biomedical Commercialization Short Course

ASCEND is offering a virtual, multi-site course, “Bridging the Gap: Commercialization for Biomedical Researchers” for the Western IDeA states. This four-week course provides an introduction to commercialization and tech transfer for biomedical researchers. Our past attendees have included staff, graduate students, post docs and faculty working in NIH research. This program uses a mixture of synchronous and asynchronous instruction with a weekly meeting time on Wednesdays from 2 – 3 p.m. MDT in October.

This four-week course starts on  Oct. 6 and ends on  Oct. 27. The sessions below are listed for Mountain Time.

  • 6: 2 – 3 p.m.: The Commercialization Path
  • 13: 2 – 3 p.m.: Intellectual Property and Protection
  • 20: 2 – 3 p.m.: Commercialization Skills and Capital-Raising Skills
  • 27: 2 – 3 p.m.: Pitch Deck Best Practices
