November 9, 2021
OIPC and Center ICE are so excited to welcome Evelyn Jacome to the team.
Small Business Innovation Research grants are a highly competitive three-phase award system which provides qualified small businesses with opportunities to explore innovative ideas. Navigating and applying for the grant awards is an enormous task. Enter Evelyn, who comes with a strong background in small business economics.
Evelyn, originally from Ecuador, earned a bachelors degree in economics from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota, and a masters degree in entrepreneurship from the University of Westminster, London. More recently, she managed a seed fund through Weber State University’s Wildcat Microfund.
Currently, Evelyn lives in Utah with her husband John who is an F-35 pilot transferring to Eielson Air Force Base in the next few months.
Evelyn is excited to travel to Fairbanks and use her skills to help UA researchers and Alaska community members take their research and novel ideas and turn them into marketable businesses.
