This summer Nigel Sharp left his position at Center ICE to work full time for the startup company he co-founded, Aquagga. We wish Sharp and his new company all the best as they endeavor to make Earth a safer planet. Read more about their company here.

Sharp, who is a British citizen, came to Alaska through the Techstars Global Entrepreneur-in-Residence program. His first assignment with Center ICE involved co-hosting a Lean Launch workshop. After that, he was the first instructor of Alaska’s Foundational I-Corps Training Program and he designed and supervised Center ICE’s Students2Startups program. More broadly, Sharp helped define and develop Center ICE in its first couple years of operation.

We will miss the dynamic, positive energy Sharp brought as he approached university innovators and entrepreneurs from fresh perspectives. Perhaps more than anything, he was a tireless advocate for entrepreneurialism among UAF faculty, staff, and students.

Cheerio, Nigel Sharp!
