The University of Washington’s CoMotion Labs presents the Fundamentals for Startups webinar series — a weekly lecture and discussion featuring notable experts who share startup-related information, experience, and wisdom with our entrepreneurial community. This free training resource is held every Friday from 11 a.m. to noon AKST during the academic year and is designed to help entrepreneurs navigate the exciting, complex, and sometimes daunting startup journey.

This series is taking a break in March; however, they will be back on Friday, April 2 with their next webinar.

Friday, April 2: Gilad Berenstein, board director and corporate advisor: “Why, Who, When, and How?”

A Board of Directors is a statutory requirement and a good set of advisors is a fiduciary requirement, but knowing who to select, when to formalize, how to compensate and manage, and the like is far from obvious. In this talk, we will dive into all of these questions to help startups maximize the value of their greatest supporters.
