Center ICE is recruiting startup companies to participate in the summer 2024 Students2Startups program. Through this program, some of Alaska’s top college students will spend next summer working at startups, contributing to their development and success while receiving complementary training on innovation and entrepreneurialism.

Noble Ocean Farms, who hosted Rachel Heimke in 2022, states “working with an intern at UAF supported our operations by allowing us to develop more content and educational materials that we simply would not have time to create ourselves. The materials created helped our followers better understand our business and our mission.”

The Students2Startups Program is managed by Center ICE, which recruits startups and students and then helps them find shared interests in working together. Students work directly for Center ICE spending 20 percent of their time working on projects with their cohort as well as participating in learning and social programming. The remaining time is spent working directly with startup companies on projects. Alaskan startups provide valuable experience for students while getting the benefit of an intern focused on investing their time working on a company project. Your startup company or small business could be the next to benefit from an intern looking for a unique experience.

We are currently recruiting startup companies. Apply now and reach out to Ashley Guernsey, alguernsey@alaska.edu, with questionsRegister before Nov 10th to be considered!
