UAF faculty and staff from across campus are invited to an Ideation Studio mixer, 10-12 p.m. Friday, March 22 in the MILL Faculty Makerspace, link to makerspace page, in 131 Bunnell, the Center for Teaching & Learning.

The Ideation Studio is a program designed to help UAF personnel connect, spark innovative ideas and co-develop new collaborative projects.

The mixer will be held in the new Faculty Makerspace, which was co-created by The MIX @UAF and the Center for Teaching & Learning to spur creative faculty research and teaching practices. The makerspace offers an array of equipment and materials, including 3D printers, art supplies, a sublimation printer, vinyl cutter and more.

This event's theme is “Creative Collaborations.” At the mixer, the Ideation Studio team will facilitate creative activities for networking, collaborative ideation and innovation for UAF faculty and staff from across campus.

Attendees are eligible to apply for $10K in seed funding from Center ICE’s RISE-UP program to pursue innovative projects.

Register here by Wednesday, March 20. Space is limited.

Spots will be offered on a first come first served basis.

This event is open to all faculty and staff. This particular event isn't designed for students, but students may be involved in projects later through seed grants or other opportunities. Space is limited; register soon.

The Ideation Studio is sponsored by The MIX @UAF and Center ICE, with support from the Office of Naval Research. Faculty Makerspace is co-created and co-managed by the Center for Teaching and Learning and The MIX @UAF.
