Software Overview
University software is available to eligible users—depending on one's campus affiliation, licensing agreements, user location and computer ownership— via automatic installer using Software Center (for Windows OS users) and NTS Self Service (for Mac OS users), or via Manual Installation for users who are working on computers outside of the University Domain or downloading software that is only accessible via manual installation.
Desktop/Laptop enrolled in UA Domain
NTS proactively manages the entire lifecycle of all university-owned devices enrolled in UA Domain. This includes deploying and maintaining software, responding to security threats, distributing settings and software inventory. By enrolling your university-owned computer, you can install approved software on demand.
For authorization, the devices must either be physically on campus or you must be logged in to the UA VPN.

By enrolling into UA Domain you allow NTS proactively manage the entire lifecycle of your device. Software Center (Windows) or NTS Self Service (macOS) allow for the streamlined installation of NTS provided software.
After installation, NTS Self Service presents continuing software updates automatically to users.

All applications are for educational use at the University of Alaska, or in some cases restricted to campuses as noted for individual applications. Just because software is licensed or listed here does not mean the software is endorsed by or full support is provided by your local help desk or computing organization. Check with your local support office to determine what software is recommended, supported, or deprecated.
