BIO

Eloise Brown is a Research Professional and oceanographer at ACEP and the Pacific Marine Energy Center. Her research interests include ocean waves, nearshore circulation, and environmental fluid mechanics, with a focus on oceanographic field observations and analysis and renewable ocean and river energy.

Before Joining ACEP, Eloise was a Visiting Faculty in Marine and Environmental Sciences and Diving Safety Officer at Alaska Pacific University, and has worked at University of Western Australia and NOAA Auke Bay Laboratory. She holds a M.S. in oceanography from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a B.A. in environmental studies from University of California at Santa Barbara.

Eloise lives in Anchorage, enjoys being active with her family and likes to be in the water.
