Strailey is passionate about sustainability and solving the energy sustainability problems our society has. He has been pursuing this passion since early in his studies. He earned his bachelor’s degrees in environmental sciences and Earth and planetary science from University of California, Berkeley in 2004 and completed a UAF occupational endorsement in sustainable energy in 2014. He has worked for Alaska-based advocacy groups that promote sustainable energy and for fisheries management agencies.
