BIO
Sunday Joseph is a graduate research assistant at ACEP. He specializes in the designing
and modeling of electric machines with a particular emphasis on improving the efficiency
and sustainability of electric power
systems.
With a background in electrical engineering, Joseph is presently pursuing his graduate studies in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UAF, where he contributes to innovative studies in electric machine design, modelling and optimization.
Prior to beginning his academic career, Joseph got excellent experience working in the power business for three years; he was responsible for the design, installation and maintenance of numerous power systems. This work experience not only sharpened his technical abilities but also gave insight into practical issues, including integrating renewable energy sources, optimizing grid performance and increasing energy efficiency.
Outside of work and studies, Joseph is a passionate fan of the Arsenal Football Club, a professional soccer club in London, closely following the team’s performances and visiting games whenever feasible. His love of soccer fits his desire to advance technology, as both demand accuracy, strategy and teamwork. Joseph is committed to using his talents and knowledge to help develop sustainable solutions that will define the future of energy and power systems.
