Wenceslao Ruiz is a student assistant at ACEP, aiding Mariko Shirazi in her exploration of power electronics and systems. He is currently advancing his education in the electrical engineering program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, which complements his already solid foundation in process technology and instrumentation technology—fields in which he earned an AAS and a certificate respectively in 2020.
Ruiz’s journey is marked by more than twenty years of military service, transitioning from an electronics technician in the Navy to a field artillery radar operator in the Army. Throughout his career, he has amassed a wealth of technical knowledge and a disciplined approach to work. His expertise spans a range of communication systems, including high frequency, ultra high frequency and satellite, along with a profound understanding of various radar systems and technologies.
Part of Ruiz’s notable service includes a tenure from 2003 to 2006 at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Calibration Center, where he specialized in calibrating avionic and electronic test equipment, demonstrating his technical versatility and commitment to excellence
