ARENA Participant Awarded Native American Top 40 Under 40

ARENA Participant Awarded Native American Top 40 Under 40

Keith Charlie is a tribal administrator and basketball coach from Minto, Alaska.  He is a 2017 Arctic Remote Energy Networks Academy (ARENA) participant, and in 2016, Keith was honored with the Patti Hyslop leadership in sobriety award for setting a positive example in the native community of Minto and in the interior of Alaska.

Keith can now add a Native American 40 Under 40 award to his credentials.

Doug Isaacson, General Manager Minto Development Corporation, said of the award “In spite of what must have been intense competition for this national award, Keith has been selected as recipient of the Native American 40 under 40 award. This reflects honorably on the Village of Minto, Seth Corp, Tanana Chiefs, and the ARENA program.”

Keith’s performance in the ARENA program has been well noted and he was one of only three participants selected to travel to Helsinki, Finland to represent ARENA at the Arctic Energy Summit and present on his community development project that he is pursuing as part of ARENA’s program requirements.
