Senior Project Manager, Microsoft
I was born and raised in Fairbanks. After graduating from high school, my goal was
to attend college outside of Alaska. I visited several universities and worked with
my parents on a budget, and had a hard time signing up for a $120,000 education. I
decided to give UAF a try. I took the Introduction to Business course and was hooked!
The College of Business and Security Management (CBSM) is an incredibly supportive school. As a student, I felt comfortable swinging by my professors’ offices to ask questions about homework assignments, receive guidance on job interviews, or to say hello. The openness and readiness to help students is a positive trait that makes CBSM one of the best schools on campus. Through my involvement with the Student Investment Fund (SIF) and the Associated Students of Business, I made great friends and had amazing opportunities.
Donor support made my educational experience possible through scholarships and backing student groups like SIF. Our support provides students with memories and experiences that will shape the rest of our lives. I hope you will join me as I come full circle and contribute to the success of future students.

Business Partners
The College of Business and Security Management endeavors to network with a variety of business partners, both large and small. The support of its business partners is integral to the success of the College of Business and Security Management. Whether the support involves sponsoring a business seminar series, becoming a business client, honoring students with an award or scholarship, giving time to judge a business plan competition, or hiring students as interns or permanent employees, business partners are essential.
