Anchorage

The Anchorage offices of the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences are located in the “ocean suite” in downtown Anchorage. Alaska’s largest city is the site of many statewide fisheries meetings and nearly all major industry headquarters. At the corner of 3rd Avenue and K Street, the Anchorage CFOS offices are within easy reach of many state and federal agencies. The facility houses a CFOS Department of Fisheries faculty member, and the building space is shared with four key stakeholders—Alaska Sea Grant, the Alaska Ocean Observing System, North Pacific Research Board, and Alaska SeaLife Center offices. This proximity allows a strong collaborative relationship among the organizations.

The Anchorage CFOS offices include a shared library and conference room, both with VCON capabilities, where CFOS classes and workshops are held. The facility offers meeting space and administrative support for CFOS students, faculty and staff working or passing through Anchorage.
