The University of Alaska Fairbanks will celebrate 2022 Indigenous Peoples' Day with
several events and activities across its different colleges, campuses, and departments.
Sarah Rice, Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Neuroscience, will present "Metabolism at Extremes:
Invivo kinetics of nutrients during the hypermetabolism of critical illness and hypometabolism
of hibernation" in-person at the Murie Auditorium and via Zoom on Friday, Oct. 7 from 3-4 p.m. on Sarah has recently returned to Alaska to expand
her research in hibernation physiology and metabolism. For more information, please
