Growing up in interior Alaska, fall time represents a season of transitions. The long
summer days begin to shorten. The air gets a little crisper. The leaves begin to change
color. And we at UAF are busy preparing for the start of the new academic year. Our
various campuses from Dillingham to Fairbanks and everywhere in between are teeming
with the energy of students, faculty and staff. It is a great time to be a part of

all disciplines and all UAF-affiliated campuses to apply for an URSA Mentor Award
of up to $6,000. This award is an opportunity for mentors to receive funding to engage
undergraduate students on their current research and creative projects. Get your applications
