UAF physicist receives top honor

Research professor Craig Heinselman of the University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute will receive the 10th Beynon Medal for his work leading a six-nation organization that builds and operates ionospheric research facilities in northern Europe. Self-service upgrade to Windows 11 available

A self-service upgrade option to Windows 11 became accessible for all UA computers on July 8, according to Nanook Technology Support Services. The upgrade is of crucial importance for ensuring the ongoing security and functionality of our network, as Microsoft has announced the discontinuation of support for Windows 10 on Oct. 14, 2025.
