UAF's 101st commencement is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, at the Carlson
Center. There will be one ceremony this year. Students who are expecting to walk this
year, should apply to graduate by Feb. 1, 2023. Spring graduation applications received by the initial deadline will be entered to win a vintage diploma frame.
After that date the fee rises to $80; March 1 is the final deadline. There will be a Q&A session at CTC from 4-6 p.m. on Jan. 26. 2023.
The UAF Department of Music's Circumpolar Music Series continues this semester with
a presentation by guest scholar, Maria Shaa Tláa Williams. The presentation, "Past, Present and Future of Alaska Native Music" will take place on Jan. 26 from 1-2 p.m. in the Davis Concert Hall. Williams will showcase characteristics and developments of Alaskan Native musics
in the past, present, and future. This event is free, open to the public, and is the final event of the 2022-2023 Circumpolar Music Series!
Graduate-level counseling students are accepting new clients for free 50-minute in-person
and telehealth counseling sessions to occur once per week now through April 27, 2023. Clinic hours are Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Thursdays from 8 a.m.

Instructors will be emailing performance feedback to students about concerns and hard
work recognition through the UAF notifications system called Nanook Navigator between Jan. 20 and Feb. 3, and throughout the semester.
Toolik Field Station invites students and early career researchers to apply for the
Toolik Userdays for Naturally Developing Research Abilities, or TUNDRA, award for
the 2023 field season. This award sponsors independent and original Arctic research
projects with up to 10 days at Toolik Field Station. Toolik will provide award recipients
with housing, meals, access to facilities and common-use equipment, science support,
and transportation between Fairbanks and the field station. Applications are due Feb. 15, 2023.

The Nanook Diversity and Action Center Council is looking for students interested
in creating inclusive programming and maintaining a campus culture of respect and
