The annual chili cookoff will be taking place Nov. 2 in the Wood Center multilevel
lounge from noon to 2 p.m. Teams will work together to compete for the best chili
among three different categories. Students can pay $5 to taste and employees and community

audience during the Three Minute Thesis competition at 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, in
Schaible Auditorium at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The public is invited to

There will be a celebration of life for Dr. Jacques Philip, a long-time Center for
Alaska Native Health Research researcher on Monday, Nov. 6, from 4-6 p.m. in the
Regents' Great Hall of the Fine Art Complex. The celebration of life will honor his

on how they can be a resource when learning about sexual health during this event

The Alaska Nanooks hockey team welcomes the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves for the first
half of the annual Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup series this weekend! Students can
catch a free shuttle from campus to the Carlson Center from 6-9:45 p.m. Military appreciation
night is Saturday, Nov. 4, and all military members will receive free entrance to

Namaste India will host its annual Diwali celebration Saturday, Nov. 4 in the Wood
Center with performances, dancing and Indian cuisine. Tickets are $20 for students,
$30 for members of the public and $10 for children under 8 years of age. Reach out

The Well has re-opened after being closed for maintenance. The Well is now openly
available to anyone with a Polar Express card as a space to help promote happiness
and well-being (e.g., yoga, meditation, reading, thankfulness, etc.) on the UAF campus.

Over the past two years, UAF has been rolling out a security enhancement called Multi-Factor
Authentication to better protect user accounts and sensitive university information
from malicious cyber-attacks. Today, all employees, including student-employees are
