Mezzo-soprano MaryCatherine Moroney will perform at UAF

Fairbanks mezzo-soprano MaryCatherine Moroney will perform a voice recital at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 2 in the Davis Concert Hall at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

The event, presented by the UAF Department of Music, is free and open to the public.

Moroney, a private voice teacher, has performed oratorio, concert, jazz and cabaret music throughout the United States and internationally on tours to Russia, Bolivia and South Africa. She explores and promotes the work of living composers, especially in the expanding repertoire of American song.

Moroney holds a master’s degree in voice performance from the Peabody Institute of Music at Johns Hopkins University. 

Moroney will be accompanied by Dario Martin, UAF professor of piano.
