Research interests/biography

Physical oceanography, Arctic oceanography, sea-ice modeling, sea-ice seasonal cycle. Researching Arctic climate with a focus on the annual cycle of sea ice. Comparing sea ice models with observations in order to improve the models, and developing predictive capabilities of the annual cycle of sea ice freeze-up and break-up.
