Research interests/biography

Bret-Harte is a plant community and ecosystem ecologist. Her focus is on how global climate change affects arctic vegetation composition and nutrient cycling. She also serves as the principal investigator and science director of Toolik Field Station, the largest scientific research station in the Arctic.
