UAF Fire Log

Any institution that maintains on-campus housing facilities must maintain a fire log. The fire log must be a written and easily understood record of any fire that occurred in an on-campus student housing facility. The log must include the nature, date, time, and general location of each fire. Fires must be recorded in the log within two business days. Institutions must make the fire log for the most recent 60-day period open to public inspection, and any portion of the log older than 60 days available within two business days of a request for public inspection.  (See 34 CFR 668.49(d).)

For the purposes of this log, a fire is defined as "any instance of open flame or other burning in a place not intended to contain the burning or in an uncontrolled manner." (See 34 CFR 668.49(a).)
