Summer Tours 2024
May 21st to September 1st
Tours Offered Tuesday through Sunday, Closed on Mondays.
Pricing: Tours are $15 for adults, $10 for youth, and under age 5 are Free.
Guided tours are offered daily, Tuesday through Sunday (closed on Mondays) in the summer from May 21st through September. Reservations requested for groups larger than 12, by calling or emailing several days in advance: uaf-lars-tours@alaska.edu or 907-474-5724. Group tours are available according to staff availability.
Times: Daily tours take place at 10am, 12 noon, and 2pm. Just come to the Research Station Gift Shop beforehand at 2220 Yankovich Road.

Community Events
2024 Birthday Bash: Saturday June 1st, Noon-4pm
Meet the New Members of our Herd! Join the Large Animal Research Station, Fairbanks Children's Museum, University Center for One Health, One Tree Alaska, and your friends at LARS for a fun afternoon birthday party! Our new calves will be in the display areas and our staff will be on hand to answer questions. Enjoy lunch from the T's BBQ Connection food truck! Free and open to all, Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Parking is limited at LARS--Please take the FREE PARKING SHUTTLE!
Park on West Ridge and wait for the shuttle to pick you up at the Akosofu Building (click for a photo and a map)! The shuttle will be leaving the Akosofu building
