Apply for Summer 2024 BLaST URE funding

Since 2014, the Biomedical Learning and Student Training program at UAF has supported undergraduates and scientists from all biomedical fields through its funding opportunities. The Biomedical Learning and Student Training program invites students to apply to earn up to $6,000 to conduct research for summer 2024. This award may be used to cover hourly wages, tuition, travel, supplies, and services. If you need help finding a mentor or a project, please let us know.

WHO: Current University of Alaska Fairbanks, University of Alaska Southeast, Alaska Pacific University, Iḷisaġvik College, Diné College, Salish Kootenai College, and Fort Lewis College undergraduates.

WHAT: BLaST Undergraduate Research Experience awards funding opportunity up to $6,000 for the summer 2024 semester.

WHEN: Applications are due Feb. 25, 2024, by midnight.

REQUIREMENTS: Eligible students must have an interest in biomedical or One Health research; have a faculty mentor on their campus; and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
