Teens are invited to make their own aurora art during ARTSci Teen Workshop on Feb. 22.

The University of Alaska Museum of the North will kick off the spring session of the ARTSci Teen Workshops on Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 1-2:30 p.m.

The ArtSci series explores connections between art and science. The series will continue with two March workshops.

This month, participants will learn the science and stories behind the aurora. They’ll use a unique painting technique to make art inspired by the northern skies.

ARTSci Teen Studio is open to 13- to 18-year-olds. Preregistration is required, and teens can sign up for one event or the entire series. Visit the registration website for more information and to sign up.
