Alaska NASA EPSCoR RID Seed Grants
Full-time faculty and post-docs are encouraged to apply for NASA Research Infrastructure Development Seed Grants. The goal is to provide early and mid-career faculty with funds to realign their research focus and develop collaboration with NASA centers. By the end of the one-year grant, faculty will have built up research infrastructure and technology capabilities and are prepared to pursue one of NASA’s regular grant programs (https://nspires.nasaprs.com/external/).
- Maximum funding of $52,700.
- One-year period of performance. No-cost extensions will not be provided.
- Cost-sharing (matching) is not required.
The following are the three research priority areas as identified as intersection with NASA’s strategic goals and the state of Alaska’s research priorities.
- Earth system science
- Technologies for space and extreme environments
- Aeronautics research
Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Nov. 15.
