March 19, 2025
The University of Alaska is providing scholarships to those interested in becoming certified teachers for Alaska. This is the third year of the UA Teacher Internship Scholarship. The scholarship covers tuition and fees at UA Schools of Education as well as a stipend of up to $10,000 to offset living expenses during the critical full-time internship. Visit the UA Teacher Internship Scholarship website to learn more and apply by April 15, 2025.
If you know someone you think would be a great teacher, please share this opportunity. UAF students completing an undergraduate Elementary or Secondary education degree can apply for the scholarship in their last 60 credits, and any student with an AA may be eligible. Individuals who have a bachelor’s degree in a field other than education can enter a post-baccalaureate pathway for Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education that can be completed in 1-2 years.
If you would like more information, an information session about degree pathways and this scholarship will be held on March 25 from 5:30-6 p.m. in the Gruening Building, 7th floor, Room 718, or on Zoom. Please contact uaf-soe-afford@alaska.edu with questions.
