Apply now for R1 Faculty Ph.D. Student Mentorship Awards
UAF’s R1 Steering Committee and Working Groups are pleased to announce an opportunity for UAF faculty to apply for Ph.D. Student Mentorship Awards. To be eligible for consideration, you must be currently mentoring (as chair or co-chair) one or more enrolled UAF Ph.D. students. These monetary awards are expected to range from $2,000 to $10,000 and can be used to support faculty salary, research expenses, or Ph.D. student mentee support (e.g. for increased costs of graduate students), through summer 2025. The purpose of these awards is to help UAF faculty to effectively mentor their Ph.D. students.
This application has two parts: (1) this form to be completed by the faculty applicant, and (2) a complementary form to be completed by a student referee. The deadline to apply is Oct. 23. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Award notices are expected to be sent by Nov. 13.
