April professional development opportunities
In the 2023 UA Employee Feedback Survey, employees called attention to the need for more professional development opportunities. UA HR’s Talent Acquisition and Development team is highlighting training collections monthly, and specific to the employee feedback received.
April’s recommendations include:
Respectful Communication in the Workplace
UA employees indicated the importance of open and honest two-way communication, as
well as the ability to share opinions candidly without judgment or retaliation. The
Respectful Communication in the Workplace collection explores ways to facilitate and engage in safe and authentic communication by exploring
interpersonal skills, respect, practicing positive communication, and overcoming the
fear of speaking up. Consider completing these courses individually or as a team.
Process Improvement and Efficiency
UA employees indicated efficient work processes are important to being productive
and effective in their roles. The Lean Six Sigma and Change Management collection contains courses on improving business capabilities and strategic agility through
change management, developing talent, practical execution, measuring progress, and
culture change.
