How can you get more involved with technology licensing, faculty consulting, spinoff companies, and private industry while at the same time make a notable addition to the University of Alaska?
You’re invited to attend a one hour meeting July 17 2002 from 3:00- 4:00 to meet with Ben Linford, the director of TREND. The opportunity to develop relationships between Alaska’s institutions and Alaska’s business owners is possbile through federal granting programs, particularly the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. Please join us in Room 300 of the Natural Science Building on Wednesday, July 17 from 3:00-4:00 to learn more about the TREND and the SBIR/STTR program and additional R&D opportunities for you.
TREND is a specialty center within the University of Alaska Anchorage Small Business Development Center and is designed to diversify and strengthen the state’s economy by supporting and promoting small businesses in the research and development of new technology in Alaska.
