Gwich’in Writer Lincoln Tritt will read from his work on Friday, Nov. 15 at 4 p.m. in the Gathering Room in Brooks Building.

Tritt has been published in a number of anthologies and periodicals including Raven Tells Stories and in the "Heartland" magazine of the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner. His childhood was spent moving back and forth yearly between Ft. Yukon and Arctic Village. Much of his writing explores Gwich’in values and traditions in a contemporary context. He has written "it is my opinion that if anybody wants a thorough education, they should learn more than one society."

The reading is sponsored by the Alaska Native Studies Department and the College of Rural Alaska as part of the Native American Heritage Month.
