John Hill Selected as ASB Business Leader of the Year

Based on merits of business excellence, educational support, and community service, UAF’s Associated Students of Business has selected John Hill to be the 27th individual honored with its prestigious Business Leader of the Year Award. Mr. Hill is CEO and owner of Auto Service Company and Fairbanks Motorsports.

John began working in the family business as a car salesman and became President of the company in 1982. Under his leadership, Auto Service Company has expanded to include Toyota, Subaru, Hyundai and Honda.

John is currently serving on the Fairbanks Memorial Hospital Foundation Board and volunteers many hours supporting the Catholic Schools of Fairbanks. In addition to dedicating six years as an Assistant Boys’ Basketball Coach at Monroe High School, John has also been a strong supporter of collegiate athletics, serving as Assistant Coach for the Nanooks Men’s Basketball team from 1999-2002. John continues to provide endless hours of academic and personal counseling for students.

John and his wife, Vikki, have three children: Caroline, Liza, and Coy.
