Make Students Count Award nominations open

The fifth annual Make Students Count Award nomination process has begun. The nomination form and fact sheet are posted on the web at: http://gov.alaska.edu/Staff/studentscount/2003nomform.pdf and http://gov.alaska.edu/Staff/studentscount/2003factsheet.pdf The nomination deadline is Friday, March 7, 2003.

President Hamilton established this award to recognize staff who have provided outstanding service to students, from anywhere in the UA system, including the rural campuses and extended sites. Service to students may include service as part of the job or volunteer service, either directly to students or behind the scenes. Four awards are available, one for each major administrative unit (UAA, UAF, UAS, and Statewide). Each recipient receives an award certificate, $1,000 and two Alaska Airlines domestic airline tickets. All nominees receive a certificate of nomination. President Hamilton will present this year’s awards during the June 5-6, 2003 Board of Regents meeting in Fairbanks.
